FPM has all roles including NPs. The NP role is the same as Landmark so no changes there is you are already in a market where there is FPM. Markets with no FPM are all closing down. NPs in these markets will more likely be moved to Housecalls or Optum Care if there are any Open positions . Not sure what happens to leadership.most likely will be riffed. We have to wait for 2 more weeks to find out

FPM is patients with Medicare and Medicaid. That model has RN’s that go in the home, as well as BH in the home and CC type staff who provide community resources.
I wouldn’t bank on them having a job for all providers. When they closed one of the markets in Texas they told those providers that they would have reorg meetings that never happened.

If you’re on maternity leave, you should be covered by the short-term disability Claim If they dissolve the market. I checked with HR. Get your short-term disability extended for 60% of your pay 80% if you have the buy up - up to 26 weeks. Protect yourself and your family.

Congrats on the baby!

Nurse Practitioner here. Honestly today was so confusing. One meeting I was being let go but then the next minute management was trying to say wait we still have jobs. I ended the day still not sure what the future holds. I am in a market that has FPM but how that is going to work nobody knows. It's confusing and stressful and it keeps happening every 3 months.

I hate United - literally…WORST company I’ve worked for in 20 years…and that’s saying a he-l of a lot… they can take their offers of alternative employment and shove them straight up their money-grubbing as--s!! Can we say LAWSUIT?!!! Check your initial work contracts…change in working conditions, etc. equals LAWSUITS!!!

Those who has the afternoon meeting….are sc--wed. Basically, they found opposite positions “for each and every one of you!” Didn’t mention that if you turn this down, it’s basically turning in your resignation. Didn’t tell us what it was, didn’t say what was going on, etc. So basically they’re trying to get out of severance packages and paying unemployment by offering people sh---y positions that nobody’s gonna want. Typical United healthcare. And they wonder why they have such a bad reputation.

Leadership doesn't seem to have clear answers yet.

They will have 17 markets open that do FPM. If your market doesn’t have FPM or other outside contracts with like Aetna the market is closing.

Yes. The meetings were vague - some markets last day will be 4/23. No specifics given about markets, dates otherwise etc. HBMC is losing contracts with UHC C&S and M&R. still have UHC at home (FPM) and non-UHC contracts. Some people were reassigned.

I would log in to Sparq and see if you had a 3:30 EST meeting today which is a reassignment meeting. If you’re in a FPM/non UHC market things are up in the air still. Leadership has been quiet since the meetings today.
