This is more Reuters FUD, no doubt at the behest of hedge funds either short and/or loading up on Intel. Look at their past coverage, and know that this is typical of stocks approaching what proves to be an extreme low valuation.

A spokesperson for his VC firm stated that he has divested from these investments.

Having a CEO who owns several VC firms creates all manner of potential conflicts, and he is not alone in having invested in the China growth story over the past 20 years.

VC gonna VC

This news won’t have any effect, pretty sure intel lawyers would have looked at documents carefully in this case , expect LBT to be at intel for next 2-3 years and doing layoffs.

That's an indication of why they trust him to turn the company around. If a CEO's is investing in an American company, they're more interested in making sure the employees list their pronouns.

Intel themselves have factories in China. Did they come free, without investment?

If this is true, he must resign due to National Security concerns. With all the sh-t going on with China. Intel does not need this hanging over their head.

This is definitely not good for LBT and Intel. I hope he can just go out do whatever the right thing in his mind as soon as possible before all the negative voices swallow him.

The board had enough reason to suspect this, if not full knowledge of it. Quote:

" In another difference in the wording of the contract, Tan is required to devote "such time as is necessary" to perform his duties and responsibilities as CEO, while Gelsinger was asked to devote his "full business efforts and time to Intel". "

Now why would LBT insist on such a difference in the contract, anyone from the board should have wondered... See:

the H1Bs come here to get intel to pay for their GC, then bail as soon as they get their GC. This is a scam that needs to end! They don’t work hard they just pretend to work.

Ask your representative to also support bill HR2315 to eliminate OPT. Hire Americans, no more Chinese engineers for US jobs.

Smart guy and that is how you can become a CEO. He probably already lost a ton of money in what so call American companies. Intel is just one of his companies and he is owning another more than 600 companies. He doesn’t care if Intel failed or you are American or Chinese.

Say goodby to Intel. I will be calling my representatives to demand cutting all chips act funding to China compromised Intel.
I suggest you do the same.

Good choice BOD. The media just discovered you latest incompetence in steering the company. I’m sure America will be happy to continue to give our chips act money to a CEO who is also a known traitor with many large investments in the enemy’s military.
