RTO is starting from May 1st, 5 days a week. Full Remotes will be given 6 months time to relocate to nearest Intel site. This is confirmed. Announcement will happen this Friday.

BK completely destroyed the office environment during his rein of te---r, and now Intel surely doesn’t have the money to fix it. Are you really surprised nobody wants to go sit in a low walled micro cube or a “bull pen” area where you can hear and see other people chew and breathe?
It's Friday. Nada. Fake.
People want WFH so they can continue to work 6 hours a week and do nothing all day while collecting their six figure salaries and act like they are valuable engineers providing a value to the company
People want RTO so they can copy their co-workers work, take credit, get employee of the week, then brag about it at lunch in the microwave room.
I heard people in my org needed to be back Mar 31st verbally…people still aren’t back.
Lazy
Slacker
Incompetent
Adversarial
Protectionist
NIH
These are the qualities of the typical Intel engineer.
No wonder they scream and yell and complain when RTO is even mentioned. They don’t realize that the entire technology industry has already RTO’d literally YEARs ago.
The outside world continues to pass these people by. One day (soon), they will wake up to a harsh reality.
@e4... the fact that it irritates you and so many others is why it keeps getting posted. Ignore it and they stop. I like these posts because it is pretty reading the reactions.
Why do you keep asking layoff people return back to office OP? Please let them have a good new job outside of sh---y Intel. Mother fu ck u so annoying for this RTO here every week OP.
Still waiting to hear a response on what the Top Talent at Intel in California actually do - besides soaking up inflated salaries in their high cost of living state
They should be the first to go
🤣🤣🤣🤣😆
Hilarious how anything marked RTO brings everyone out.
Think I'll start a band and call it RTO Speedwagon.... tickets will sell themselves.
“ Intel ‘engineers’ sitting at home, working 2-3. hours a day, while leaving and needing to pick up their kids from daycare at 2 PM everyday”
Project much?
Intel ‘engineers’ sitting at home, working 2-3. hours a day, while leaving and needing to pick up their kids from daycare at 2 PM everyday:
“Uhhh, doesn’t LBT know he can’t attract Top Talent this way?????”
Lol k
Can someone here actually tell me what the Intel people in the Bay Area/Cali actually… do?
Good riddance.
Heard this rumor as well.
Some say that the company is doing this to force attrition and not having to pay for packages.
Some say that LBT is old school and doesn't believe in WFH for engineering work.
Taking a page out of Musk's book “extremely hardcore” and work “long hours at high intensity”.
RTO is 2H and business group dependent. There will still be full time telecommuting.
Strangely, the new CEO said he wants to attract top talent. This is not the way to do that. He is almost 70 so he probably doesn't understand that. Pay people hundred k less than fair market, and take away the only benefit that keeps them.
Actually, this time this guy may be right. Not sure about date, amount of days needed to be in the office and the remote part but definitely some sort of RTO is heading. Sites already preparing
@ac do the math… there won’t be people left in the Bay Area to fill the offices after the layoffs. We all know you people in SC don’t do anything worthwhile anyways while getting 2x the salary because of CA COL
“I troll layoff boards because 4chan made me cry”
- OP
This guy wants to come back to office to clean up all Intel toilets.
In 6 months Intel will be bankrupt anyways so who cares?
The risk of spreading COVID is too high to RTO says no-one but Intel employees
Yes this time we all believe you OP
Nice try… bay area offices don’t even has enough space to accommodate everyone ..
@OP, what is your obsession with RTO? Do you just get a kick out of scaring people? If so, please consider that, as the boy who cried RTO too many times, you have zero credibility. And saying "you heard it here first" is not only not effective in convincing people, it has the opposite effect because you sound like a child.
lol, how many times have we heard this here. Weak sauce.
Sure. Have at it your way although I think you’re missing the real issue. Why does it matter to you whether people make PowerPoints and kiss a-s from home or in the office?
Cool story
I heard it here first, about 934 posts ago.
Yea.. no. Not when they still have 1/2 of RNB, and SC12's cafe closed.
Take longer then a month to fix/update the closed floors. None of the desk have monitors.
BS
Where is the fire everyone/ nepotism copy pasta? Come on guy....
