I've seen a few folks starting to get at risk of coverage letters... Both technical and overhead duties. (are they doing this to avoid the WARN)?

40 more people just got let go from SP in GSC.
@1kd agree. They know how to play the game and hide what is going on to keep their stock up and employees in the dark.
@5tf of course that they will do this to avoid WARN and publicity as it impacts their stock.
This site is the only place where we can inform eachother about layoffs and what is really going on.
Got the boot from SP after what I thought was a good year on a major program. Two week notice to redeploy or leave. Quiet, cold, and surgical. One week per year of service severance, cashed out PTO, one week per year of service subsidized health care and then pay full rate to end of 18 month COBRA period.
any insight if layoffs are happening at the Rancho Bernardo site? Heard it's competitive to get back even if you're an ex-employee.
They let go of about 45 employees last week in Azusa likely not to trigger WARN at the site
B2 Employees are loosing their money for certain updates on the B2 in Palmdale and will be forced to find work in other fields. But NGC Is not trying to relocate the people affected...
My site in SP has been doing silent layoffs non-stop since mid 2024. They cut a few people every month to stay below the WARN requirement. All top engineers noticed this and are jumping ship.
In Palmdale, some of the legacy programs have been experiencing layoffs, or what they call icebox. Heard from a friend who called called in to the managers office and they told here sorry but your on the list. from what I understand its mostly poor performers but there are a handful of people getting iced for no valid reason.

Heard an SSSD engineering VP was put on PTO this month to save overhead costs.
Also saw flowdown messages last week that another VP got moved to Utah following the building explosion.
Maybe they're really trying to save overhead costs to not affect more technical employees
