For those of us not still at BLKB... What roll is he now in?

My guess, they are starting to shuffle the deck ahead of acquisition talks. Create new roles that dont exist elsewhere means in acquisition less chance of being let go by the acquiring firm.

So Blackbaud chooses today to announce a newly created role for Tony Boor after laying off a lot of people? So they create a totally new position for him which his pay alone probably equates to all those who were laid off. The “good ol’ boy” system at its finest!

All new job postings are in India with the exception of sales and marketing

Still hiring in India - gives anyone in any doubt a clear indication where their jobs are heading.

Be careful to not reveal too much about who you are. I wouldn't put it past BB to take action against you.

Could be as bad as 2023. Get ready folks a first smaller round today ala November 2022 which was followed by a massive round in February 2023. There will be a second round that happens after earnings are reported in late April. If you are safe now brush up that resume and get out while you can before they do the second RIF. The severance is a paltry 2 months way out of line with industry norms with zero negotiation. Also those affected watch for that no disparagement and non compete. They are relentless in chasing the non compete as many learned in 2023. It will limit your job prospects. Get a good lawyer to look over the agreement before you sign.

Based on what I've heard, this seems to be a company-wide issue, and it’s now affecting Cyber this time around as well. With BlackBaud integrating BB India, the situation may continue to worsen for U.S.-based employees as BB India becomes proficient with the Cyber tools.

what does severance look like at BB? One thing I struggle with mentally working here is being moved away from a large job hub and then getting laid off and then my life changes completely as there is no job around me that pays enough..even with modest bills. add in remote jobs disappearing and hypercompetitive, and the job market drying up in general...im so skrewed.

For those impacted do you mind sharing more about your position...? This could help others make decisions/brushing up on their resume or give them ample heads up to start making other plans. I imagine this is just the start of this and there's more to come.

My meeting they read off a script. Something about market conditions and tightening the belt. My position was affected. They also stated it was company wide.

They already checked all the security boxes for the audit and lawsuits so now they're letting them go. You know how it goes. No need to keep security around. Let's get ready to get breached again.

Just like everyone else they use you and drop you. They ramped up on CyberSecurity. If they're happy where they are they can drop some of that staff if they only need to maintain.

So sorry to hear that...are they offering severance and any other assistance?

Why would CyberSecurity be impacted aren't we ramping up heavily on various security requirements?

Can someone comment when a layoff happens, to you or someone else.? I don't disbelieve anyone who's saying they are happening today but I'd like confirmation when one does happen.

This job market is awful and we are about to fire a ton of people for the sole reason that the ELT burned $750 million dollars and will not actually put money into our products, just ramming through 30% price increases on non-profits while the ELT makes obscene money. How about some accountability at the top of the house? No, right? Good people with families just trying to get by, and the ELT running this place into the ground. If I make a mistake I hear about it, but they have ruined this place and will rewarded for it. I’m so pi---d.

Here comes the 2025 version. Let’s see if they fu-k it up as badly as they did in 2023. At least it won’t be the Valentine's Day Massacre this year. Maybe the Spring Fling?

It seems that we retain our HR team for 2 purposes - make sure QCI’s are done and justify their positions by strong-arming this process. They’ll be busy today.
