They have reduced the office sizes in many areas and made strategic decisions as to who goes in. This is to reduce cost while maintaining headcount. They seems to be getting rid of bottom performers which is not a bad thing. Very few people know of large layoffs and the sh-t posted on here never comes to fruition because it is generally a troll or disgruntled bottom performers who got fired.
This board is "Anonymous" until funds are paid over via the back channels. How do you think these platforms stay up Einstein
Sounds like nonsense coming from a few disgruntled people, sure there will be cuts in any company from time to time, but theres people with too much time on their hands here , spreading fear and giving people anxiety.
If I was you I would run a million miles from this sh-t company.
Thank you for clarifying! I was worried as I stopped applying once I received the offer.
No if you received an offer it's genuine, hiring and layoffs go hand in hand but not for someone who has yet to start or is very new, that would only be a bad reflection on the management that hired you and the business unit your going to join. Typically the need for employees varies greatly across business units.
Guys, I recently received offer from paypal and I accepted it. I’m yet to join, should I be worried about layoff?
That's a brave comment, how many folk on a weekly sync with the CEO. Be careful now.
Just got off weekly sync w alex, layoff delayed to 4/21 to finalize headcount
It’s all bullsh-t until it actually happens. I’m not wasting time unless you can prove something real.
I heard they are now doing lay offs quietly. People are being given an option take a severance or go on a performance plan.
To the "credible, VP-level source",
How can we trust anything the CEO says if he didn't even have the decency to talk in the All-hands in Dublin about all the layoffs in China the previous days?
Please refrain from spreading misinformation.
Our CEO has clearly stated that the company is performing well, and we are actively hiring.
This information comes directly from a highly credible, VP-level source.
Nothing in EMEA
soooo?? waiting for the email….
There is currently over 230 job postings. How does this even make sense? Why hire just to layoff? They just did huge layoff in China/HK.
Where, EMEA or US?
Nice workn with u guys see u at 9am mandatory zoom call
For reasons I don't understand, even BU's that are profitable are being gutted. It looks like a PR stunt more than smart economics.
WARN notice not needed prior to announcement as the layoff will keep them on payroll for 60 days.
lol everyday we have one or two layoff roumors going on.
I think they need to file notice if laying off more than 10% of employees. At least for the US they're supposed to.
I wouldn't be surprised - there's a clear desire to only have office based employees. Business only allows new hires who are commutable to an office
Someone put that up last night but since deleted it under the user name HR!
