Thats a good question, how did the team got so bloaded in the first place, but we are a heavily regulated industry. I would prefer internal audit to find something rather than a regulator or burned by an external auditor. I got fired some time back from there as well. I wold be concerned of the consequences, reduced scope and lack of oversight with 18 heads down.

How did Internal Audit get so bloated that they can let go 18 people? I don’t imagine it was a big department
18 people were let go in Internal Audit including myself. Oh well, nice ride while it last.
