"Dell should have stayed the course with either Avamar or Networker"
Those are both successful EMC products and Dell can't stand to leave those alone. No matter how much money they make.
HCI and DP ISG groups both saw WFR's this week. I don't know the full extent, but know people in each group that were let go.
For those of you in ISG and haven't seen or heard of anyone being cut, now you have. I'm in ISG and was WFR on Monday. My last day is Friday. It's bittersweet for sure.
"same here, I'm in ISG and we have not heard a thing. I work in the PPDM area in Hopkinton. It seems quiet."
Sorry to hear this. PPDM is abysmal. Dell should have stayed the course with either Avamar or Networker. Instead they built a "new" offering that can't compete with either of those legacy offering.
ISG as well. No news about cuts yet, open jobs for powerstore (i am elsewhere..), but everyone is waiting...
I've got unexpected 1on1 recently moved from next week i thought this is it. felt confused, then i started to talk with manager and he seems to be in even worse mood. He sounds he just gave up and awaits escape pod.
Every week I wonder now how the place is still running with some many broken copy paste implementations and when will i get "on the list". It is kind of depressing when anyone you talk to feels like recent grad, but some are 10+ years on the job.. yet still smart as 3 digit calculator or lazy like heavy stoner.
I feel relieved, but at same time bit disappointed.
fake news
I'm in ISG out of RTP but haven't heard anything yet. But that's how our managers usually roll, won't let us know what's going on until the last possible second or after the fact. SMH
Each director in ISG had to cut 5%-20% of their hire budget

I'm in ISG and haven't heard of anyone getting whacked, yet.
Anyone know which ISG teams are getting hit the worst?
ISG team members started getting 'formally notified' (Officially Wacked) on Monday. Can't imagine who's left in Service now.
I heard the same from my director - it's an ongoing challenge and we will just have to do the best we can. It looks like it will be monthly and no clue when it ends other than the company goal getting reached.
bloodbath really.
rolling layoffs throughout the year for all of dell is the plan
