Thread regarding Broadcom Corp. layoffs

Does anyone else still have nothing to do?

I work in a sales support role (CPM) and have been fully expecting to get the axe and severance, but somehow am still here resting and vesting. Was looking forward to severance last round as I'm bored out of my mind, working maybe an hour a day, but have to be available in case something is needed. Anyone else with a similar experience?

Keep doing what you’re doing. Most peeps I know aren’t sweating it. Not that they’re slacking but they simply don’t have enough work to fill even 40 hours a week. My estimate is they do real work, maybe 25-30 hours a week. Rest of time thinking about how to spend their RSU’s now and in retirement…

Heck, my director barely works as he’s so reliant on his directs for everything...he’s a deer in the headlights….lmfao.

Get a second job like the VMWare folks did! That’ll get you fired and your wish will come true.

Great depression on the way so there will be a lot of people with nothing to do soon.

Thanks for justifying all the layoffs this company does - most jobs at most companies are totally not needed soon after the long-time-ago you got hired, yet never fired - your post is pure proof of that. Maybe it will stop all the whiners crying about evil company (or evil gov/doge) cutting staff.
