I got partially met last year, which I didn't agree with. The objective had to be delayed, because the business wasn't aligned. I had no role in that decision. Anyways, today I got a call for PIF or payout. Has anyone been on PIF and been able to get out of it. Or, it's just a procedure to set up for failure.

Also This hora house has Some Indian Managers who are from dowry community who ki-l anyone for money.
It is worse than chinese hoar house run by MARY BARA and MARK REUSS. It will be dead in less than 3 years.
Good thing the SLT isn't judged on being able to show leadership.
Your goals in a PIF won't be attainable and measurable.
They'll be vague and hand wavy like "show leadership."
The SLT doesn't even do that.
They're giving you hope so you won't take the payout.
When you don't meet their standards at the end of the PIF, the payout won't be a choice anymore.
You'll walk away with nothing.
And they'll save some money.
You are toast. The PIF is just a shot across the bow to tell you to start looking.
Take the payout and find someplace less toxic.
It's a setup for failure.
No matter how good you perform they'll tell you it wasn't good enough.
It depends on if PIF has goals which are concrete and attainable and you have a level of mutual trust with your leadership. Both the tone and goals of the PIF are critical. Is there veiled sarcasm or contempt in the PIF? Is there something you have been asked to do, which you ignored? Only you can answer these questions. Have someone who knows you well, look at the PIF to give you a different perspective. Someone who is willing to offer you fair criticism, not someone who always agrees with you.
