Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Relocate, quit or be ready for lay offs

Level 4, 5, 6
If you're not in a location same as your manager or your manager's manager, consider you're on a bath for being RIF'ed

You'll notice your manager not micromanaging you, not bothering you every two minutes to get updates on something they should already know

If you see the pattern, you're in trouble. Come this fall, you're on track to be eliminated.

Of course it won't matter to the entitled once, boomer contractors who can't tell difference between Window and Apple, and permanent remote position slackers.

Only us hard-working individuals will get the axe

Seems last comment is social media to the rescue

I'm a manager and I know the level of reps so it's not a surprise associates who are smart to put 2 and 2 together

Managers don’t make decisions about who gets rif’d. They don’t know months in advance, this person is going to be let go so I don’t need to invest a lot of time in them anymore. With the last round, managers didn’t know until the day before or something, that they had to let people go.

For a company like Fido, if my manager is not bothering me, I'd definitely be worried as this place is everything but "not micromanaging"
