He would turn to Andy and say deal with it. Stuff would commence to hit the fan. This why they hired Grove to kick a**. As a long time but retired Inteler(36 years) About 3 times in the 80's I showed up to work and half my department was gone by 10am, no packages just a swift kick to the door. I remember a time where they fired every manager in my division from the GM down to the first level less about 2 of them and rebooted management with new people.
My favorite layoff was the 1000's manager cut. What an instant improvement.
The closest thing we have to day to compare Grove to is Musk.
Will u layoff 50% (grade10+, eliminate 2 layers of Mgt, TD/TMG/IFS/CPU-Atom-PTL-Xeon/CMO/Pkg/Fab/NEX/DCAI/IDC etc ) and save to save Intel from bankruptcy?
He would go out and do something wonderful, unburdened by the past.
