Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Dept mtgs April 16?

Anyone else notice staff meetings being scheduled April 16? It seems strange to me since it’s the day before the next supposed layoff date. Thoughts?

From my experience with them is they notify the RIF’d employees then have a team meeting after that with the surviving staff.

Sounds like some layoffs are happening today, 4/10

I think the layoffs are being pushed to the 24th. The earnings call was moved from the 15th to the 17th and a lot of spring break PTO in some areas would make for a nightmare for HRon the 17th, so move to the 24th.

“ My team has been asked to provide a list of our current priorities and any urgent due dates by the end of the day on Monday. Not going to lie I’m concerned.”

Which department?

It's ~the 2nd week of the new quarter. That's they there are lots of "check-ins" "skip-levels" and town halls being scheduled. Not that there aren't layoffs in the air, but the meetings aren't related.

I no longer call them LAYOFFS. I call it Early Release.

I work for Landmark and have witnessed several layoffs. I have not seen staff meetings occur the day before a lay off. I’ve seen meetings the morning of the lay offs be cancelled the day before, late in the day.
