We've now officially had two major layoff rounds in less than 10 months. I never used to worry about layoffs, so this is a shock to the system. I'm now considering if it's smart staying if this is going to be our future. It’s hard to focus when the ground keeps shifting like this.

I briefly considered looking yesterday. I enjoy my job, I like my manager, my pay is fair. I don't think I can trust any company in this economy.
I have savings, I head here that the severance was four months pay, which is pretty generous in my mind.
I'm gonna stay and see how it shakes out. If my manager leaves though...
Yes, but if stability and stock were major reasons to stay and they're gone, might as well look elsewhere for a better position with the same instability but a better chance of a stock recovery at a company with better leadership.
Yes, it’s horrible. However, I would add that the rest of the industry (and now economy) is pretty much in the same boat.
