Group of Engineers I used to work with were hit Wednesday last week. My "not so high contacts" still at Dell said they were notified early and that layoff are going to be happening monthly till Dell hits some magical target number. Monday sounds about right but I think they're doing a series of tiny layoffs to avoid bad press.
I was hit in Aug and have happily moved on. The group of around 20 people I worked with is down to three and I'm glad I missed being there for that. I'm assuming (uh-oh) they're either ki-ling the project or dumping it on some other group.

I already had the discussion with my manager. Last day to be the 11th. So, I will be taking my remaining days off next week (since Dell is not required to pay out unused vacation in my state).
Confirmed, anyone that didn't get an email from MD on Friday will be laid off on Monday.
Yup layoffs on Monday. I don’t know about “1%” but I’ve definitely talk to somebody who already got the meeting email.
