I heard rumors Accenture might start trimming again soon. I've only been here 18 months - should I be sweating this? They always say the older guys get cut first for cost savings, but who knows. Feels like no one’s safe anymore. I'd really appreciate some insight from somebody who's ben here a while and knows how cuts usually go.

If you are on a project that will not be cut, and you are great performer, you get along with people, you should be safe. Only if you are an MD at the moment on any project, there might be concern. Make sure you do not take sick leaves often, keep being chargeable, do your job and do not complain much.
It's depending on project, fir example if you are in DOE you are doomed as they downsized contract. If you are old but worth, you will be still here, if you are junior and don't know work you will be gone.
