I have these women in my org who do nothing. They are 40 plus, always have excuses, but somehow never laid off? How come under performing people never get accountability?

Female leaders who undermine other women based on gossip need to have that role removed from them.
Women who bring their "friends" over to work under them and cost people their jobs need to be let go.

This is an absolutely ridiculous post. There are slackers and coasters of all ages, individuals or in cliques, that get by. You just happen to be in an area with a group of women that are 40+. I've watched 'younger" people steal time by clocking in and out on their phone apps when they're not in the office, manipulate a program so it doesn't log them off, speed thru their job just to get numbers and not care about the patients they are affecting - but if they are friends or relatives with the right people they ain't going anywhere! Sometimes it seems like they decide who gets laid off by a computerized coin toss.
I know a 40+ woman who has been coasting away for years. She’s approached her leadership multiple times about getting on the layoff list but she’s never been selected. Looks like they will never let her go.

No they are not immune. Bunch were let go last year.
But if you're part of a clique you are immune. I know the same types. They've been there 20 years coasting.
