Serious question. This seems like the most automatable business unit and I don't really see the need for anything other than 20 or so reps that would manage the inbound BUs

ops doesn’t mean what you think. you should quit.
Maybe go shadow with Ops. Are you even sure what that word means? Doesn’t seem like it
Tech is so outdated and managers are id--ts who don’t understand the role. Ops cannot be replaced yet
OP here. Asked a serious question and got a bunch of immature responses. What I've gathered is a lot of boomers work in ops and have been unhappy with work/pay for decades. Most reps I talk to are unable to take phone calls so hide behind a screen and tell others to take more calls whilst trying to justify their employment
And from what I've gathered the only thing keeping ops from being automated is the progression of AI. Dare I say maybe give it 10-15 years and we can probably have 20-30 reps who are highly skilled analytics who can manage all of the inbound queue. Thanks for the responses
other way around. AI heavily reduces devs and OPs does what it always does. cleans up the garbage.
LOL let AI run the show. This shows your lack of experience. Go sit with ops, the bots “work as designed” which means they don’t work well. There are always problems with the work because people WILL NOT work together. Everyone wants to show they are important and so smart.. then the bots break and cause problems.
Don't need reps either. Waiting for AI to make better educated picks than the current unresponsive clowns that disappeared that I have experienced. Only looking for commissions
There are only a million ops groups. Which one!!!!???
How about -- They don't need YOU!
