Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

VP happy to leave

10+ years of service. I can’t stay because of the following.

  • I found a company that actually values me taking a reasonable amount of personal time each week to be with my family for school events and similar without having to log it all and worry about badge swipe reports. When they told me that they want employees to do what’s right for their own personal time so they can be more productive at work I about fell over with happiness
  • No more ‘only 1% can ever exceed no matter what your deliver
  • No more hassling my kid to get her to school because I’m worried about being late for my badge swipe
  • No more asking my colleagues to schedule time in Outlook retroactively for us because we discussed future plans and strategy ad hoc
  • No more asking to try and learn more via an industry certification because Fiserve won’t support any employee learning
  • No more bonus depreciation whereby it gets less and less each year
  • No more of a company buying billions of stock repurchases to juice the $ the executives get
  • No more asking suppliers to pay immediately to juice the quarterly numbers at the expense of ongoing revenue
  • No more cutting of quality to meet the manila 5% RIG goal only to be told it does t matter - cut this 7% and you don’t get to choose who
  • No more being told we are one Fiserv but it’s only the top 1% that matter
  • No more seeing family and friend of executives being out in plum positions via nepotism and they aren’t qualified
  • I could go on but i’ve never been so happy to leave a company.

I got lucky and applied for 4 months to land this you all can too.

Don’t settle for the abuse. Get out while you can

Common theme- Hopefully much of this will be addressed by the NMF - No more Fraud- whistleblower group being set-up. More to come

First target exposure- General Services

  • Shine light for CEO on the Bro-pad in Jupiter where Fiserv pays for fishing trips, boat repairs, open bars, and strippers
  • Investigate fake Charities used to write-off bachelor parities and golf trips

Share your examples here! Together we are strong.

Stop projecting your fears on others, protending like you're giving sound advice. None of us can control if we're laid off. Fiserv lays off all the time for no reason, so don't act like his us a safe place. It's always layoff season here. And they've let go of folks who've been there the 20+ years. We could all stay at Fiserv out of fear of being laid off from another company only to be laid off from Fiserv. That's happening almost weekly.

Thank you for this post. It's refreshing and encouraging. Many of us are trying to leave for most, if not all, of the reasons you've outlined.
