Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

Boeings stock swirling the old toilet bowel today. They will be lucky if the handle doesn't get pulled

Boeing is a hollow shell of its former self. The depth of engineering experience now at Boeing is absolutely nil. The number of competent managers now at Boeing can be counted on a single hand. Almost every culture at Boeing is toxic throughout Boeing's multiple groups and locations. Looking ahead, the future picture at Boeing doesn't look too good.

  • F-47 - will end up remembered as a paper airplane and program cancelled due to Contractor i.e. Boeing inability to successfully execute contract to the Clients satisfaction.
  • Boeing sells their poor preforming space shuttle replacement program and exits the space programs entirely after NASAs behind the door pressure. Boeing will likely come out with good spin of things to save face though.
  • Next batch of Airforce refueling tanker orders probably will go to Airbus due to Boeing's tanker program being a major cluster you know what, ever since day one.

Boeing literally has the same pay structure for the currency CEO as they’ve had for previous CEOs that is their bonuses tied to the stock price not to the performance of the company.

If their bonus had actually been tied to the profit margin of the company, none of these CEOs would’ve got a bonus for the last 10 years, which is what should’ve happened.

Instead their bonuses are tied to the stock price and these CEOs have been paying themselves millions of dollars every year while the company loses millions of dollars every year.

The system is completely corrupt. You literally had CEOs taking all the profit The company was making and investing it in the stock price so they could pay themselves a larger bonus.

At the same time the same CEO claimed that they did not have the money for a new aircraft program to replace the 737 and instead pushed and came up with the 737 max which was a disaster for the company.

The CEO today still has the same structured bonus, where he gets a bonus now based on the actual profit of the company, but based on the stock price. It’s a completely corrupt system ramp for abuse.

So you've been working at BA for 100 years and know for a fact that the same kind of managers and engineers worked here during this time. Your argument is empty and full of fallacy.

Boeing stock was artificially inflated for years due to the stock buyback programs where they wasted billions of dollars to increase the stock price so they pay themselves higher bonuses.

The fact the stock price is lower, and the bonuses they pay will be lower to be fair is probably for the best. Overpaid executives who do anything to increase their bonus are a big part of the problem. Business decisions should be based on what is in the best interest of the company not what the best interest of the stock price.

I don’t think the majority of people understand how a company that hasn’t shown a profit in almost 10 years is paying millions a year to the CEO in bonuses.

Boeing has been in business for over a hundred years and will continue to be in business.
The same managers and engineers described by others have always been this way and the company has survived 100 years.
This isn't the first recession that Boeing has weathered and it won't be the last, this is the time when you start to buy more stock so that when this upcoming recession is over you will be wealthy.
History has proven those that spend their money wisely become wealthy.

Dow futures as of 5:15 this morning are tanking. Boeing stock is down another $8. Not looking good. Low seniority employees should start worrying. This will ripple through the travel and airline industries.
