Adrian should have been fired when the account error took place full stop.
He-l us regular colleagues would be fired if we overrode a damn Last Act item to serve the customer but $151M and no one (then) batter an eye.
Ridiculous!
Are those Executives still with the Company?? If this was a hourly colleague they would be fired and taken to court to repay.
I was being paid under minimum wage for the longest time when I worked at Macys, and doing so much work too. When I finally had the courage to switch careers I realized that there's so many better jobs out there that require less work, and you WILL get paid more. F*ck Macys.
If these were hourly employees that were overpaid anything, you better believe HR would adjust their checks. I'm glad to see executives are finally getting just a small taste of our world.
Macys is a scam !
This is why bonus programs should be taken off the table at all levels. This happens in the stores as well. Unfortunately leaders do things that will give them a bonus instead of what's best for the business.
Good that Macys is doing this. With the state of the company and retail I’m surprised at some of these bonus amounts. Especially considering what they pay a lot of their Colleagues this is the right move.
