They have for a tariff on foreign labor… find out there is a tariff on foreign labor and complain the tariff isn’t big enough…. So rewrite the headline to start! Need to raise tariffs on foreign labor!

You seriously think 10-20% tariffs will encourage companies to pay 3x-5x the salary? Tariffs aren’t new, go do some research and see how things have turned out in past. Ask your Qualcomm Copilot PC help you reason 😊

H1b should not pay the tariff it should be the company that hires them. H1b is just the pawn. Make the company pay for trying to sc--w local labor. Just Desert for them don't pick on poor h1b who make 3 times the wage in their country.

Agree with OP, at least H1B pay American taxes. If we tariff foreign labor, the outsourcing would stop.

President Trump's advisor: Apply 1000% Tariff to overseas countries because they sell labor to US.

The "tariff" on H-1B is, as far as I can tell, just a few thousand dollars for various filing and processing fees. This is dwarfed by the savings from lower wage paid to the worker. The company ends up saving a ton of money with the foreign worker.

H-1B fees "on average can total around $2,500"

There is a tariff on foreign labor. All H1B cost extra money. But the worker usually pays by having a lower wage
