Every time an ELT is pushed out, there are headcount reductions which they were opposed to.
So when the head of HR is pushed out, that is the clearest sign yet that LBT is gonna go big and fast with the headcount reductions.
I'm no fan of CP and all that woke DEI nonsense that she and the HP board member brought to Intel, but have no doubt she at the least didn't want to go through another CPM process, and may have been part of the decision to go so lightly the last time around.
They cut 15k when everyone, I mean everyone knew the number needed to be about 2x that amount, and it would not have been hard to go there either.

I'm expecting a rapid sequence of ELT being pushed out, followed by product groups, labs and such being shut down or sold, then the real work begins in the fabs.
At the same time the tariffs will show the fabless companies what their real costs are. They have had a subsidized ride for a long time, and good for them for taking full advantage of that. Now the economic calculation has shifted and it is not going back for a long, long time.
Not sure if the stock pop this morning was the market considering the new semi calculation, or that the entire market was that delighted to see another marxist DEI woke warrior get cancelled.
