If Comcast continues to migrate jobs and I mean jobs that are manned by town people here in the United States over to India it will be the death of Comcast. The fact is work was transferred over there and while on calls the people over there were absolutely clueless. They had no idea how to do even most basic tasks this is not conjecture this is fact. They claim to have credentials over there but they lack even the most basic skills it's astonishing the Comcast is doing this.
Comcast will move site from Philadelphia to Delhi. Americans are too bad.
Comcast still has tons of real estate and a great infrastructure. They just ran out of innovation and focused on nonsensical DEI initiatives and put the leadership on edge with constant employee surveys (ENPS) that made managers scared to lead. The HR freaks are anti leader, in most cases, and cause heartburn for everyone. Theres alway been a culture of “who you know” vs what you know for promotions. This pushed a lot of good people into the shadows or away altogether. Many jobs outsource to India and the Philippines over the years.
So much more around poor leadership and budget stewardship but in the end, it’s still a place that has money and assets. Maybe it will break off into pieces and go to the highest bidders. This should start innovation again.
Why would anyone figure Comcast as a good company long term?
Yeah, Comcast CIEC in India has been the place a boatload of American jobs have migrated to. Comcast staff are accustomed to being in the CIEC's crosshairs, now NBCUniversal's IT, HR, Finance, Engineering, and Cybersecurity are in line to soon feel similar pain.
You forgot to add offshoring.
Comcast WAS full of opportunities but those are dwindling.
