Ops normal even on consent projects no ownership or true remediation just lying and checkbox management to c15s who know nothing

sounds like a normal team within Citi. Most of the requirements are given verbally and changed many times throughout the sprint. Its like hitting a moving target. Jira is there just to track your work, some number to track your commits in the code base. Dont look so high up the chain. Even if it is pointless, it gives you a job. Thats how I look at it. Most of this work is pointless, but it gives me money to makes moves in my personal life.
I am a contractor who joined Citi one month ago. I would like to say it is a good approach from a company point of view. Maybe I am wrong as I don’t know too much about citi yet. The project I am working on is pointless, a POC the team did last year, pretty much a fake thing trying to make people busy. There is no project management, no Jira, no code standard and document, everything is based on words. Everyone is busy, but after checking the code base, it is garbage and there is not much progress for months, everyone is talking.
