Given that most managers have been reduced to filling our performance reviews, echoing mandates that come from on high, and wandering around - I think we have proven them unnecessary. Since we know have AI tools that can take info about the ICs and consolidate it, apply an arbitrary formula as to who gets a raise or a reduced bonus, I think most managers, directors, AVPs, and VPs are unnecessary.
We don’t have much in the way of HR since all those services are outsourced, except for discipline.
