Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

With Trump tariff's starting today, I wonder how it would effect Citi oversea hires

Trump is pushing his tariff's today in the USA. I Wonder how it would effect oversea workers, particularly Shanghai workers. Many teams depend on oversea team, and it greatly outweighs the members in the USA. Now that many countries seem to want to retaliate with the USA, what would that mean to Citibank employees overseas where team relies of foreign workers heavily?

Im hoping it brings the jobs back to the USA. Citibank has been moving almost all of their development and business roles overseas to save a buck

The tariffs, along with all the other changes will wreck the economy. Discretionary spending is already low, restaurants, big box stores etc are closing. There are no jobs and competition for jobs is at a high due to all the fed, tech and bank layoffs. I think this is all by design. This is how a monarchy works to weaken the people. Buckle up.

Tariff affects economic, which in turn affects banking industry, caused Banks to pull back on lending and tighten their terms particularly for the borrowers.
