CoreAdvance

Saw a post on LinkedIn about CoreAdvance.

"Over the past year, we've been plotting a clear and streamlined path for our Premier®, Precision® and Cleartouch® clients to a single, modern account processing core."

Is this what all Premier, Precision, and Cleartouch clients will be migrated to? Have they provided any timelines?

Will there be any clients left when it’s done?

They can make a new core, but the conversion is what will get them. They have around 450 clients on Precision and will have to hand-hold every. single. conversion. Each one will take days to weeks, because they will have issues along the way, which will take even more time. Some are in-house and have poor internet and cannot simply upload data to a hosted service, and would involve hand holding to get their data encrypted and mailed in. Multiply this time for all the other cores. It'll take years. YEARS. I heard them talking about the conversion over a year ago like they could flip a switch and do it over an evening/weekend. Good luck with that! Stil hasn't happened.

I work with the big banks and not one of them has any of the 3 cores being espoused about. This is the key indicator of how poorly our 3 cores rank in the financial industry. A pink pig is still a pig 🐖.

Probably putting everything on Unisys. At least if any of the old school guys like L.G. still have a say. There was that big bank they converted from IBMi to Unisys and it was a nightmare. Also building a thousand VM’s for one client. Whoever sold that needs to be fired.

lol. Good luck with that. They've tried for years to standardize just the processing of conversion files across the cores and can't even get that done. This has long been an exec talking point but they have zero clue how much work it would take to get there.

What technology is this platform built on? The lack of details is par for the course at Fiserv. Promises get made and never kept when it comes to technology transformation.
