Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Expect New ELT Members Soon

If LBT wants to execute to his vision of a slimmer Intel, with hyper focus on 3-4 areas (PC, Server, AI, IFS)... he's going to bring in his own guys he trusts to execute his goals. Let's be honest... he can't trust anyone in ELT today who supported the coup to oust Pat. These people have already demonstrated driving Intel into the ground, and proven they'll stab the CEO in the back (or in the face) for their gain (or survival)... not exactly the people you want to be surrounded by. Many current Intel execs will just retire, get spun off, or find new jobs elsewhere.

@a7+1jqs8yn9y Ever hear about the OpenAI debacle with Altman? Intel wouldn't survive an internal insurrection (which would guarantee it's sold off for scrap).

Would be welcome news if it happened. I hope it does.

@a7+1jqs8yn9y First off, while Pat technically retired from Intel, his choice was to retire or get fired. He said so himself. Second, the BOD would not fire (remove) Pat without at least 1) consulting Legal and HR; 2) have MJ and Sweater Boy in the wings willing to accept co-CEO roles; and 3) likely support from key ELT members such as Ann, Navid, and prob Christoph. They had to ensure they had a one-voice from ELT in removing Pat. If you think otherwise, you prob still believe in Santa and the Easter Bunny.

"Soon" seems slow already.

What’s this about supporting a coup? The board doesn’t need anyone on ELT to support firing a CEO that hasn’t performed and he retired anyway.
