For the whiners saying there are employees who work onsite from 9 AM - 1PM and then go, those employees probably have a cool manager who understands there is NO mandatory amount of time to be onsite. Work with your manager to see if they will accommodate your schedule.

Not all groups are required 5 days a week but instead are required a full in office day for when they are in office. This whole thing is such a joke. I don’t want to be there 5 days a week, I certainly don’t want to be there a full day.
Agree with previous post. Do something for yourself. Quit being so concerned about what everyone else does. If the only joy you feel is dragging others down to your level of misery, it's time to make some changes in your life. If you're not their boss, it's not your job to monitor what they do. Mind your own business and do your own job.
Who cares what someone else does? Get your own work done and stop whining about others. If you want to leave early talk to your boss and make arrangements. Either you'll be told YES or NO. Simple as that.
"Why would you give anything more than 9-5 to this company?"
I give 5 am to 2 pm since I provide coverage for customers in Eastern Europe all the way to California. The butt hurt looks I get from everyone in the office as I leave are hilarious.
Somebody has got to be bangin’ somebody and giving preferential treatment to whomever they bangin’. Do the work to figure it out
Our manager says we're to be there eight hours a day, not including time wasted in traffic. No, that is our personal time we now lost again, after a time when the work and life balance was a thing and people realized how much life they were missing with families from commuting, and we able to work productively at home in peace and less stress. Naw, Dell's higher ups enjoy that life style still, rubbing it in on their video calls. So, 8 hours or more for our people, every day.
“ We'll see what HR thinks when that Speak Up! ticket is logged.”
They will tell you that particular individual probably has something worked out with their manager. Then they will ask why you are wasting time logging needless tickets.
If you have time to “snitch” on someone, you obviously don’t have enough to do. Talk about wasting time!
It’s a trap. Stay the course, remain, shall we say, “quiet”.
Why would you give anything more than 9-5 to this company? You’re a number to them. At this point I’ve seen almost no reason to invest anything into the corporation.
ya, cause the commute in was the more important part of your day.
I actually go onsite from 7 to 2 so I can pick up my kids from school then get back online from home. I end up working until 7 at night anyway so my boss doesn’t care.
