I don’t have a choice, personally, but I know a few folks who are here to climb the ladder. I can’t imagine staying here long-term. The moment something clicks for me, I’ll be gone. I’m just curious what the majority think: are most of you counting the days, or is there genuine ambition keeping people around?

I'm biding my time until I eventually get laid off because I will not relocate, but it's hard. My skills have undoubtedly atrophied during my time here, and I spend more time chasing down requirements and trying to find the owner(s) of certain services than anything else. But I have expenses like everyone else, so I push through. But it's a struggle.
I am sticking around because of the excellent collection of snacks in the break room vending machines.
