I find it funny as he-l that the managers who are on here keep flagging and reporting any bad talk about the pathetic merit raises we just got.

The joke is not to look for another job. You’ve got to be kidding me. Start applying elsewhere and maintain what’s left of your dignity. We are heading into a recession (unofficial in one now) and there will be many hunting for a new employer. Get ahead of the crowd and secure something new. Btw…- 1-4% doesn’t even move the needle. Many companies are offering 7-10% with cost-of-living-adjustments (COLA) so people can survive. My other advice is to run from retail. Get into finance or pensions so you can make real money.
Don’t worry. The former employees that had stones and built this place are thinking the same. Imagine being a top leader and current leaders won’t even bring you back. Scared of true talented individuals.
