Day 1 of full RTO for the week. 8 hrs per day, 5 days for the week. I see you rolling in after 8 and leaving at 12. Don't make me narc on you. Make proper arrangements for appointments and child transportations or use PTO just the like the rest of us. Stop stealing from Dell. Also, RTO means you need to commute into the office. Commuting is normal for most people, it seems some of the thriving employees at Dell have issues understanding the concept. It also means you need to pay for gas, sit in traffic, and dodge life threatening traffic accidents. Put your big boy pants on and let's goooo!

Go back to work OP, you shouldn’t be on this website.
The FAQs say there’s no mandated amount of time to be onsite. OP should
learn how to read.
The last line makes me think this is a troll post. That said read the room. This company is trash enough without troll posts like this, because it’s legit how management thinks.
OP is massively g@y
Just remember snitches get stitches. If you snitch to HR and people find out, you’ll be in BIG trouble. Your coworkers know where you live.
OP must have a straight up 9-5 schedule. A lot of us don’t. Up at 5am - do some meetings with folks in Europe. 7-8 - get ready, 8-9/9:30 (depending on traffic) commute. 9/9:30-10 - find a spot, do facilities job and hook up your work station. Do all of this with taking meetings from your car and on your phone (which we should now be reimbursed for BTW!). More meetings with people in other locations and countries. Work through lunch, leave at 2/3pm (use your lunch hour to commute). 3-7/8pm - do your west coast team meetings. OP must not have to work with anyone outside their time zone.
"Commuting is normal for most people"
It's also absolutely unnecessary as we proved over the past 5 years. If you see ne roll in after 8 and leave at two you're more than welcome to narc on me. I routine take calls at 5 am or earlier and my boss agreed I could come in between 9 and 10 and that there's no point of me being in the office earlier than that to collaborate with all the empty desks.
Hey - 1988 just called, and they want you to return now. Make sure to bring your wardrobe of 3-piece suits, and your pocket calculator.
OP needs to get help. Why post this same silly rant over and over? If you're so unhappy, go do something positive for yourself. Fix your own life and quit trying to drag other people down.
Good thing the policy doesn't require any of this.
Lighten up, Francis
I was going to add a blistering response of my own, but I see a tidal wave of existing responses that already fully capture the absurdity of the OP. Sad to realize we have 1diots like this still working among us.
My first call each Monday runs 6:30-7:30am. Every. Week. I join a weekly staff call for one of the EMEA teams I regularly support. I can't really take the call from the car, because we need to be looking at documents/spreadsheets during the discussion.
I am definitely not dealing with my kids, during this call. While you are eating breakfast and showering, I am already at work.
"Taking calls from 5-7:30 AM and 6-11 PM is not true."
SMH. Buddy, you're clueless. Me and all the people on my team regularly do this. It's called 'doing our jobs'. In fact, it makes me wonder how small your job must be, that you are so out of touch with the reality of large numbers of your co-workers?
@a4+1jqkfj9zz You obviously aren’t in a role that has global coverage and works with teams across all regions and time zones. Many of us take these early AM and late PM calls on an almost daily basis. Be thankful you don’t. It pretty much eliminates the ability to mentally disconnect from work.
What if 1 person posted this, and then others were copy-pasting the same post to elicit this very response? just sayin. Yeah that'd be stupid ALSO.
Why do you post this every week? You seem angry and small, with such suppressed inferiority that you feel compelled to threaten others? What a je-k.
What time this morning are you going to kick your dog?
What a masochistic mo--n.
Taking calls from 5-7:30 AM and 6-11 PM is not true. Nobody who is working at home is doing that. Taking care of their kids and doing errands, yes. But not working those hours.
"Firstly, what kind of twisted, empty person are you for continuing to post this same stupid post each week?"
Agreed 100%. What a frickin' cowardly keyboard warrior this person is! Loser.
Firstly, what kind of twisted, empty person are you for continuing to post this same stupid post each week?
Second, this WFH person regularly takes calls 5-7:30am, and between 6-11pm, to accommodate the geospatial arithmetic of multi-timezome teams. While you are sitting in your car listening to podcasts 2x a day, I am actually working.
Get a life, you jacka55.
