Thread regarding Cargill layoffs

What is wrong with Cargill??

I'm always being pressured to "add more value to the team" despite always getting the highest ratings and meeting every single one of my job requirements. What the he-l do they want from me? From all of us? To do the work of several people to hide the fact they laid off too many folks and now can't figure out what to do?

@e5 years of egotistical "yes men" ladder climbers who don't contribute to core value being promoted into a bloated upper middle management tier while investment in the plant infrastructure and actual producers are neglected.

Don't do any additional work beyond what's in your job description and don't work a minute more than 40 hours a week. You won't be rewarded for doing more than that, and leadership needs to learn how to resource their teams appropriately.

Cargill is highly political company, leaders who succeed do so because they manage upwards they don’t care about you my friend. You are being used and I’m sorry for that

Welcome to a classic case of poor leadership. I am so sorry for you and all of my former colleagues who are in this situation.

Somehow the company ended up being led by short-sighted, egotistic, back stabbing mo--ns. They will drag the whole thing down and your mental health with it.

Best advice I can give you is to stop trying to understand it. Find another job and leave; you will be much more appreciated, happier and quite likely better compensated.
