We need to part ways first with all remote employees, they are like Federal Employees doing very little or nothing at all and drawing a paycheck every two weeks. Termination of remote personnel would help office workers keep their employment as we show up everyday and run the business.

The corn hole. LOL. Managers w no management experience. The fact that they think grown a** adults would actually enjoy stopping once a month or for some once a week to play games rather than get their work done and spend time w their families says it all. Employees are not pawns to stoke mgrs egos or entertain. Its incredibly rude and disrespectful to treat them like they are. What a mess.
Corn hole in the hot sun in lieu of getting sh*t done was always my favorite waste of time at SP. Everyone smiling and thanking the mgr when 90% wanted to scream and leave. The constant drinking after work where if you didn't show ur face you weren't a good team mate was second. Again everyone grinning and thanking the mgr so much for the free drinks. 90% of people ready to scream and leave so they could be w their families. I sat on a 4 hour teams call during COVID that started at 2 and was byob. OH thank you so much mgr for ruining my Friday to sit on teams, me w an empty beer bottle, watching you drink a whole bottle of wine. And start another. Everyone ready to scream. What an UNBELIEVABLE disaster that place is.
More and more often over recent weeks I'm feeling the melt down posts (stop being negative, you don't know what you're talking about, you're a loser) are managers/nepos feeling the heat. They're realizing that most posts are calling them out. And panicking. Why else would someone be so clearly emotional.

I've been both remote and on-site at SP. I can tell you a big chunk of time at SP is BSing, running out for lunch, "team" bldg exercises, cake parties and generally st-----g mgrs who shouldn't be mgrs. They're all jockeying for visibility and anything for their egos. It's not about productivity at all. That's what happens when people w no business experience are promoted based on who they're related to. It's a circus. Teams were more productive removed from that. Period. The nonsense at SP touches every other part of the business.
There are too many mangers, seems like everyone now is a manager, senior manager, or director on the tower side. Most of the tower management works remotely and does very little or minimal work…they brag about it. I think it would be in Crown’s best interest to bring in an outside consultant to review salaries versus the value the old tower guys are creating. We need this to be analyzed rather quickly than clean house and keep the talented and educated network employees.
message to all tower people : Please list 5 tasks you completed last week.

Crown needs to take the Jamie Dimon approach to remote work
Remote employees aren’t the problem. Leaders never having consequences for their teams failing to deliver any results is the problem. We have too many fancy job titles for teams that just rack up costs and somehow leadership is ok with it.
Look at the bloated IT and “business performance” teams … what do they do???
I’m strictly remote, always have been. I’m directly involved in helping running the business as you say. If I was in an office everyday and not in the field, I wouldn’t be doing my job. I’m part of the reason you have a job. If I didn’t help take care of our ENTIRE network , we’d have less customers. Go back to your data entry and pointless Teams calls and try to look busy so you don’t get canned.
Such irresponsible rhetoric coming from the Tower people and remote workers. Fiber folks are more talented and educated, towers employees were promoted to managers and directors based on their years at Crown and definitely not based on their value or innovation they bring.

I use to enjoy visiting this site to read pertinent information and now all I read is doom and gloom. Hopefully I can find some positive people that will uplift my spirits in this challenging business environment. Fiber is Fabulous and we will get through this fiasco just fine. I wish the tower side was supportive and doing more to drive revenue.
Purple cr-p! Crown never cared for the fiber employees. It shows with the sale. Holding out for another 500 is a disgrace. Crown sold offices and forced some to work from home. Crown is a different company now. No one should be loyal. They certainly aren't loyal to you.
People who think just being on-site are the issue. Gaurantee OP is a Mgr that feels neglected if their staff isn't available to entertain their ego.
Don't be a hater dude!!! Stay perched up in your pigeon coop and quiet. Zayo don't run a show like CC. They will run lean and to the bone with a lot of overseas resources. You may be the first one gone so don't feel safe and entitled. Make sure to sell your purple Pumas on Poshmart to get some extra money!!
