SE Account VT Virtual is a Joke while Leadership travels for Training

It is a complete joke that SEs have virtual training while our leaders have in-person training. Our commercial leadership posting pics of their ATL trip is an insult.

Cisco realized how badly they have diluted the account SE org with DEI quotas and clueless management.

So how do you explain so many failures at Cisco by white guys over the 35 years before DEI became a thing?

Yes, the portfolio SE does nothing but forward emails and buy Chick-fil-A

Cisco realized how badly they have diluted the account SE org with DEI quotas and clueless management. Many account SEs have no clue what a VLAN or SSD is, and cry when told they need to get a cisco certification. If you haven't noticed, Cisco has made the account SE role almost entirely redundant. The real SEs who sell our products, the architecture SEs, are still doing in-person training multiple times a year. It's only a matter of time before they replace account SE with a GenAI bot and just tell the AMs to work directly with the Architecure teams

Peter Principle.

The Cisco management I worked with were all [Dilbert Principle](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dilbert_principle). They were never competent at anything and pushed up to a place where they couldn't do as much damage. At Cisco Principal Engineers fell under the same umbrella.

Wowsers - As an ex Cisconian, they've axed the VT program....?
It used to be 2 x 1 weeks a year in person
Best bit of sheep-dipping / motivational / vision impacting training...
Its now -all- virtual...??

Yeiks....

But hay - block off the time, turn your mobile on mute, turn off your email...
The world wont come to an end...

You managed to attend in person without doing calls and emails -all- night, so you can do it remotely...

Your lucky to get training in this day and era (some companies its even worse) - the real question is if the roadmaps and content is any good.....you'd know that far better than me these days...!

Leadership training in Atlanta was an opportunity for some in leadership to let it be know they are in leadership. Waste of time and money.

wait till you see the load of cr-p coming out of the security vt next week. hyperdiaper full of s**t. technical debt and clueless leadership. only a matter of time before things spiral downward. cisco occupies senior leadership i the customer base through different channels thats the obly way its able to survive. it would have been bankrupt long ago

CCA CEO AE here. Our RM and SEM can travel for leadership training but they are unwilling to travel to get in front of customers. Something wrong with that.

Virtual training is complete BS. This is why we have a ton of disconnected and demotivated people. Whilst you're doing virtual training the phone is ringing, emails coming in, people complaining. You just can't focus and dedicate yourself to it. There's a place for virtual training but not 100% of the time. Whatever happened to the previous brilliant VT program in SJ?
