Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Remotes are next - "Scaremongering" or Fact

It starts with sales ... ends with everyone. Memory too short to recall how RTO began and how it is now?

This site has proven time and time and time again that the frequent "rumors" eventually hold true. If you've been here long enough you've seen those living in denial continue to shoot the "fear mongering rumors" down only to become very silent when they become truth.

"Bain's Dell Employee count" goal was never a secret - People just never believed it would eventuate. Not enough attrition from RTO - they had targeted the "remotes" at the beginning of this strategy. It's been a 3 year plan being flawlessly executed by those who have absolutely no clue on how to run a company other than run it into the ground.

If you are remote and want to stay remote you have that option ... you just won't be employed by Dell anymore.

It's definatly coming but my guess is January 2026 is the deadline, move or get out! So long and thanks for all the fish!

They would be foolish to get rid of some remotes.
There are people working in areas far from a Dell site who have skills that are needed and a lot of experience. One person is the only guy in his country doing the job.

That being said, the past 24 months are not full of pearls of business wisdom at Dell.

If they were going to target remotes then they wouldn't be offering exceptions now for people to transition from on site back to remote

Remember when we were all posting about RTO coming and how it would be 5 days a week? Folk thumbs down and screamed fake news and spewed hate. That being said I do not see April being the month that remotes are all fired.. it doesn't fit the time-line. Is it come? Highly probable but not here yet.

Who cares. Most of us who chose remote did not think of Dell as a long game.

If Dell wasnt such a low grade company they would just offer a VSP and let the cards fall where they may.

Aside from that I quite quit and await new job or exit package. Eff the hair plugs grifter from RR
