I work in “finance”. The sheer amount of very poorly designed excel files with hard coded values and missing #ref is atrocious. And I spent 20 hours already trying to figure out some working file of a laid off guy. SAD!

I was in Dell finance for a long time. Leadership has rotted the finance function from within. The team is reduced to harassing sales for "deal updates" on SFDC opportunities in pipeline. It is an endless game of telephone (seeking and sharing deal updates) up the ladder and asking "can we pull this deal into this arbitrary fiscal week????" The rest of it is clicking approve in various tools to sell servers at -80% margin or deny requests for returns / concessions from customers that have been wronged.
They had no system few years ago one person was off sick that couldn't determine quota for 2 months. The systems are so bad that you can't trust that every sales order is being accounted for. Every quota is probably rugged to make you unsuccessful or pay you less. Dell is not a company that can be trusted. They fraud their own employees out of money
