Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

India

Question. The company knows it’s morale su-ks. Why do leaders keep bragging about moving jobs to India? They keep reiterating how excited and great their trips there are and show us pictures. I vomit in my mouth every time it happens. I have 3 layers of management above me asking daily what we can move to Accenture (India) and gets mad when I don’t have answers because we have cut so much fat there is almost nothing left. Given the current political environment, I know Bill is walking back dei (pei in truist) and is afraid of getting in the crosshairs. Accenture is already in maga crosshairs a bit for waste and excess in gov space. I have a feeling truist with our purpose and values going to India and such are ready for a day of reckoning. Anyone else feel this way? I’m in Richmond. Crazy here.

Quite frankly, if you are concerned with outsourcing of jobs to India or elsewhere, you should write to the White House. The recent administration is trying to raise additional funds, I've written to state that a fixed percentage of wages sent overseas especially with companies that have no overseas customers should be levied.
This will have two impacts

  1. offset any cost savings of companies that offshore work
  2. help cover the deficit for social security and other programs.

I ask you to do the same.

Executives don’t care what us peon’s feel or think as long as it doesn’t affect them. Moving jobs to India pads their excessive bonuses and lets them buy bigger mansion, more jets, and spend d-mb money of golf tournaments to impress their friends.

Keep outsourcing until Employee Engagement scores increase. Like cutting one end of the rug off and sewing on the other end to increase the length of the rug.
