Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Landmark - Anyone else being pushed to quit?

Before my manager was laid off in January, she gave me 5 and an outstanding review because I’ve been managing the job of 4 people on my own since layoffs started in February last year. I was assigned to someone else who was pulled from another market in February, and when we were going over my review, they mentioned that 5s are impossible and they are really curious as to how I got that.

Ever since they’ve been micromanaging me like crazy, giving me tasks that are impossible to get done in the timeframe they’re giving me, and today I discovered that they are having their staff from the market they were pulled from doing my work (and messing it up) behind my back, giving me extra things to clean up. This feels like intentional sabotage as we get ready for upcoming layoffs. Anyone else experiencing this?

I’ve been job hunting, but it isn’t going well.

I suspect your new manager is just an awful micromanager as opposed to sabotage. I’ve been here 4 years, gotten two 5s under several managers at this point, no target on my back. I have told a previous supervisor that I work best under a “hands off” leadership style and that got them off my back.

They want you to quit so they don't have to lay you off with a severance package.

your new manager sounds mentally ill tbh. very common with "leadership" at orx.

I thought optum is getting rid of the entire landmark program.

This company is doing everything it can to get people to quit. They are using anything they can to figure that out.So recently for clinical services there was a suggestion that the productivity which is almost impossible to meet should be weighted to reflect the amount of work that it entails hence more credit. Well you asked and the listened was the Headliner. So more weight and guess what more work was added also. So you asked and we will teach you a lesson. You get a measly half a point but now you have to do more work. It’s a game. How many will burn out and quit.

I heard from current manager during my last review that you don’t want to be anything but a three so what you’re saying makes sense. I asked manager before that what do I have to do to be a 5 and she told me 5s are always targets and “never end up staying.”

Yeah, sorry, rookie mistake. You've got a giant target on your back now and will be laid off soon regardless.

I don't know if this helps but my manager said she doesn't give 5s because it puts you under a microscope and she didn't want that for me.
