Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

Boeing still exists because it was given Defense Contracts.

This is not mine but I found it interesting.

Boeing still exists because it was given Defense Contracts.

Boeing was not given Defense Contracts because it can deliver.

Boeing was given Defense contracts because it is THE LAST American Transport Aircraft Company, and therefore a strategic asset.

Just a few decades ago there were several such companies.

Before the 70s there were dozens. What happened?

Shortly, debt-currency and Central Banking happened. Those require that both currency and debt expand logarithmically, and that the debt have a higher logarithmic rate. Why? Compound interest. That's why. No debt is repayable, but instead must be rolled into a newer larger debt. So, if one guy pays it all off, another guy must borrow that much more to roll over his own debt.

That logarithmically expanding toll or tax on productivity, which is called "financialization", forces each industry out of business in sequence of those with the smallest margins to those with the greatest by causing their net financial expenses to exceed their margin, rendering the industry uneconomic.

The few who survived the 1970s did so by becoming wards of finance who recieved special beneficial terms and government contracts.

Boeing is one of those.

The Rulers, think that in this way they can select winners and losers to eventually own everything.

That is why this currency and banking system are Karl Marx's 5th Plank of Communism.

But...once the business depends on financiers and government rather than on customers, their priorities likewise drift to finance and government.

Once the nominal line of business is no longer a priority, the company is ONE GENERATION (or less) from Chapter 11. Because as the competent employees retire, they will be replaced with incompetent ones who reflect the priorities of finance and government.

The X47 DoD contracted for will never exist, or if it does, it will be plagued with so many manufacturing problems and extra costs that it will be of no benefit.

Incompetence is incompetent. And that is what our rulers SELECT FOR.

It does seem like likely they were awarded a large defense contract as a way to avoid having to financially bail out Boeing from bankruptcy

I just blame Jack Welch. Until he took control of GE most U.S. corporations at least delivered a working product. Then after the GE disease metastasized, they're all just nothing but loot bags.
