With everything going on with vrsp and layoffs has anyone found it easier or more difficult to move to other positions within the company. I’ve heard about some departments now being short staffed due to more people than expected taking vrsp or leaving for other jobs. Has anyone tried moving to other positions?

It's important to stay prepared so you won't be taken by surprise. Make sure your resume is current, and get ready for an exciting journey ahead!
Thoughts on today's news? Do you think today's news will push more layoffs and soon as possible? Wondering what post 5/1/25 will be like.
Only way to move is if management approaches you and you are voluntold this is the new role otherwise zero chance. Unless you are with the in crowd
I stopped applying for any open positions. Most are planned to transfer to India and the ones actually are jobs are ear marked for their In’s
Probably because they’re starting to outsource positions.
Even though leadership said there wasn't a freeze on moving to other positions it sure seems like there is
From a few months prior to the VRSP, to present, several of my coworkers have been applying widely for different positions. Some of these people have "in's" with other departments, most are very well qualified, and all are in good standing. And yet, only a few made it to even the video pre-interview. It seemed remarkably strange until someone let it slip that our area has been on a freeze for posting out for some time. This was never communicated to us. Many odd things going on in our area and we are vey much in the dark.
Anyone know why it’s so difficult?
I began working at UHC in 2018. It took until end of 2023 to finally get into another position, and while I was more than qualified, it's more than likely because I just so happened to know someone in the department. I had applied to many internal positions and always got the generic "other candidates" email. It's soooo hard to move around. That being said, I also know that no other company I worked for offered even close to the salaries or PTO I've gotten here. Pros and cons to all things.
It’s virtually impossible to move to other positions. I have no idea why it’s so difficult. Does the company benefit from not promoting.
so... their program worked?
Not for me I’ve applied to a little over 40 or so jobs and I’m getting no where just a ton of we choose another candidate which I believe is very generic message and only 1 of those video interviews which I completed over a month ago and heard nothing from. I’m starting to believe you really have to know someone that can put in a good word for you.
I have applied for approx 20 positions within the company and received a we have gone with other applicants email even though I was able to do all that they had specified. Not one interview with either a recruiter or the hiring manager which to me is very suspicious.
