Working 9AM to 5PM is back to Canon

Not only has Sammy single handed helped tanked the Employment moral into uncharted territory like you have never seen before.
Now he is taking away the flexibility to use your own personal device to access the company’s Teams applications.

I can understand to a point but as with every shortsighted decision he has made, since was rushed to greatness. This man fails to realize how much having employee able to communicate with their own devices has helped the organization.

Keep taking away Isao Kobayashi, all your moves show how much of a micromanager you are.

You must be working at the beach or never home, so this must be hard for you and others. Genius, it’s not Sammy, so cut the nonsense. It’s a security issue to have anyone working outside a company asset. If you want to have these services, you need a company asset. You now need to work instead of showing yourself green at the gym. Morale has never been lower! Management is completely out of touch and reaching for straws! The extra day in the office is an absolute ki-ler and reminds everyone just how much they HATE THEIR JOB!

Things just keep getting worse with this company! Can’t wait to hear what the next town hall aka propaganda sh-t show is going to feed us next month. Stay tuned and don’t forget to submit your questions. Meantime upper mgmt walks around the building watching if people are doing work, are on their phones or taking too long in the sh----r instead of working. If caught you will be talked to. Micromanaging at its finest. My question …. Shouldn’t you spend your time worrying about yourself and on how to maybe safe this company from its own demise ? Or is that a way of having job security worrying about what others do? Reporting back? Riding people? That would explain why canon is doing as bad as it is! Seeing SF and BS walking around the office looking around asking how you are and walking away before getting an answer. Why bother? Canon=sweat shop.

A member of the Executive team made a surprise office appearance this week. I thought that was very strange since they were supposed to cut back on travel. Something’s up.

Sammy Boy has been a disaster. Let’s recap his tenure:
Forced people 60+ to retire early in May 2024
Massive layoffs in July 2024
Promotion of his unexperienced buddies
Corporate “Restructuring” with no defined direction or plan
If holiday falls on office day, you need to come in the next day to make up for it (totally petty)
Added additional office day each week in January 2025.
CSA merger into CUSA, CSG is performing extremely poor.
Departure of FM in February 2025.
Plans to sell corporate headquarters which is less than 15 years old.

Yeah, he’s really knocking it out of the park

This guy has to have a single p-digit approval rating.

I'm sure there will be more office "visits" from upper/sr management to assess the office location situations and see how many more people they can layoff in the next few months.. Clearly the numbers aren't numbering and collaboration isn't collaborating.. Stay tuned for the next big company meeting..

Company provided devices allow more Orwellian functionality and access for them to track usage, monitor communications and report gps data to ensure you are "in" the orifice.

Sammy is a complete mess. Forced office time under the guise of "collaboration" while they make the workspace more chaotic? That’s the opposite of productivity. And a first-come, first-serve seating situation for a month, while we are being to two floors. That’s just corporate survival mode—Lord of the Flies.
