At this point with all that we have seen and learned they deserve to be replaced if they train them. They should know what happens next it’s happened so many times in other areas of company

Exactly this. My team's at half the headcount we started 2023 with, and everyone whose left is expected to train up our replacements.

Ahhh Globalfoundries what a great place of employment. So stable. So logical. We are lucky to be working here!

A senior director making his career on the backs of the local hard-working malta team by outsourcing to Bangalore.. If you can do your job remotely, you're on the chopping block. If your team is short staff that's why they're not hiring because those positions will be filled with outsourced labor.

Silent layoffs at senior levels still going on at F8. 2 from TD last week. Do they ever stop or is it the new normal, this constant axing/cost cutting through the year....

There are no high performers at GF. That’s why the company is folding.

[FAB 8] Hey, but how about new speed bumps. The site has been opened for what, 14 years, less than 50% of the people remain and suddenly there's a need for speed bumps..Is there that much surplus cash laying around ?

Let’s be honest… Global foundries is one of worst maybe the Worst employer in our industry. What makes it worse is that they lie to us and make us eat sh-t and then want us to thank them and smile about it. No one wants to work Globalfoundries. Globalfoundries is no one’s first choice.

It finally happened and I was expecting it too and I'm an OG. It's a new day with new opportunities and I feel great. The Universe beckons me for a change. Nothing shocks me about GF. Nothing. I can tell you this it has changed so much over the course of the 14 years I was there, and not for the better. Quality is not valued. Training Bangalore took my job. Karma is a (B)itch and I hope the place goes to back to the dust from which it came.
And, Yes. I did get a package.
4 years-4 weeks of base pay.
After that, 2 weeks pay for every year worked after that. I.e. If an Employee worked 10 years and three months, he or she
would get 16 weeks of base pay).
4months worth of Cobra.
Vacation time you get back too.
My advice to anyone reading this, find something and someplace better that values the good, ethical people that put forth their all.
Good Luck.

It’s been happening for over 5-8 years now. The truly good ones are long gone for a long while now. The remains that are leaving now are 2nd and 3rd tier. But by our standards they are the new good ones. No one wants to work here it’s a horrid place

HR needs to produce measurable results.
There are too many unnecessary indirect personnel.

Feel like this has been happening for last few years. All the good ones are gone. Those who stay are mid at best and have no choice but to stay
