So long Tireman

As we approach the last days before the retirement of our favorite Barista, let's share some of our fondest quotes and memories.

Amongst the many falsehoods on the site the last few years the funniest has to be that Tireman doesn't drink scotch

Tiremans zenith moments? Probably two town halls. One where he was fiery and combative when questioned about Kearney and Dom. The other when he was both anger and (pretend) sad after the death at PDC. How safety wasn't something that money could buy. Workers just needed to stop putting themselves inside machines that were operating.

During the 3.5 years at 3M, the guy pocketed about 15 million, plus probably got another 5 million as a golden parachute payable at the end of this month.

Hey Pete, the liq-or stores around woodbury will miss you. Your scotch purchases were legendary. Goodbye little man.

One has to wonder when BB took over last year if Tireman was told he was leaving within a year or if he was given a trial period. Turns out all of the damage done to annihilating so many vital roles MTE, SC etc and demanding massive cut in inventory caught up with him when BB lambasted his own leadership on a quarterly call with analysts about the woeful OTIF metrics. Sad part is the Scotchman will be getting his fat bonus plus maybe another 5 to 10 million as severance.

Hey little man, we know your reading this right now while on a call with Dom.

The job market rewards connections more than qualifications.

Networking should feel like a second unpaid job. And when every opportunity feels gatekept by someone’s uncle or old college roommate, it reinforces a cycle where the rich stay ahead—and everyone else keeps knocking on a locked door.

The easiest way to find that missing inventory is to place a new Purchase Order.

Under Tireman he said that we can do away with the unnecessary reports. Look at now...the amount of reports that we are generating for different functions. It's crazy

Does he have a new gig at Kearney lined up yet? Going to miss Tireman, people ripping on him here knowing that he reads this site was very satisfying.

Hard to believe how much damage one person can do in 3.5 years. The MTE roles in particular were a crucial 3M asset translating research to pilot plants to full scale production. Even Mack the Kn--e nor Inge slashed this group enough to damage the future of the company.

Hey Saint Pete, have another big bottle of scotch while having your usual zoom with your recently promoted son (no firewall needed)

Leave my son out of this. Said at an angry townhall experience.

Also, safety isn't about spending more money. Said after the fatality at PDC, a run down site that hasn't seen a dime invested since Buckley.
