I’ve stopped complaining about RTO. It doesn’t mean I’m happy it means I was just told by a competitor that I can expect an email tonight with an offer letter.
Coincidentally, in the past ten days I’ve had three talented coworkers and one manager I used to report, to ask if I would give references.
So management and executives, just because the RTO grumbling may have fired down it doesn’t mean we’re happy.
You wanted people to leave, okay. We’re going.

How much talent does dell really need? I think they just need mediocre people since dell is not really doing anything innovative.
They can get by with 3rd string college grads to keep the cogs spinning.

I applaud you for not giving in to the demands of Dell. Even though this is probably something they’re expecting with RTO, it’s better for you to quit than to suffer.
I do, however, caution you by working at a competitor. Just be prepared to be locked out of everything immediately once you put in your notice and if you’re going into the office, then they’ll escort you out of the building. Also, this industry is heading into extremely dangerous waters. You may see the same issues, logistically speaking, with your new company. In other words, you’ll probably be trying to solve the same problems when it comes to your new responsibilities.
