What’s your thoughts on this?
Won’t be a surprise if peeps who were supporting an unplanned catastrophe are all converts from contractors to full time (TCS etc)

Digital fast track is just another fancy name to divert attention away from the disaster they call digital. The d-mb leading the blind.
They are all butt hole lickers trying to look great in front of their boss so they keep building their empire to corral more and more power. Leadership at cvs is all about self promotion and self interest. CVS was the worst software environment I have ever worked in over my 40 year career. Garbage dump
Culture to cult, we have come a long way
Two places agile doesn't belong are aviation and healthcare...
Well when CMS changes something like making Chinese an official language and it has to be adapted quickly, or there's a pandemic.
Agile doesn't work without collaboration. Collaboration doesn't happen if people power trip.
Agile arose from the belief that stakeholders don't really know what they want and in a fast changing world those needs might change at a faster rate than design can occur. But this isn't an automobile company with constantly changing design and technology. Two places agile doesn't belong are aviation and healthcare. For many, agile just means yay I don't have to do any planning, design, or specification. What I see are waterfall style deadlines, faux agile processes, and wildly inconsistent practices across the board. It's starting to show up in builds suddenly not working at deploy time because a dependency was changed without informing those affected.
They can call it whatever they want, the reality is that it’s just a way for “leaders” to sidestep real agile processes, exclude important stakeholders from design and product teams to avoid friction and allow them to get their half-baked ideas into production as fast as possible!
Lol. It's like we once worked together. The culture doesn't support agile as long as you have less knowledgeable directors throwing fits because it needs to be done their way and everyone kowtows to the most toxic person in the department.

“Fast track” is a term being used by DDAT “leadership” to make it sound like there is an actual process for the chaos that they create. Similar to “continuous planning” another term they love to use, but it actually just equates to never taking a pause to strategically plan or fully define work and living in a constant, hyper-reactive environment where teams rush to meet unrealistic deadlines. They can call it whatever they want, the reality is that it’s just a way for “leaders” to sidestep real agile processes, exclude important stakeholders from design and product teams to avoid friction and allow them to get their half-baked ideas into production as fast as possible! The reason those at the team level are pushing back so hard is that the ones responsible for doing the actual designs and development have zero say in the timelines that are created. They are the ones working nights, weekends and holidays to get this stuff out the door when promised.
Sorry what is digital fast track?
TCS owns CVS and all your as--s
Wow. Sounds like a company culture issue. (And also my former team)
Highlights
Lack of empathy: They may dismiss others' feelings and view distress as a sign of weakness. e.g. not working for a few teams but works well for others
Exploitative: They may take advantage of others for their own gain. e.g. don't give 2 hoots about folks working long hours/weekends
Self-centered: They may talk about themselves almost exclusively and make everything about them. e.g. I need to apologize for the defects.
Manipulative: They may use charm and deceit to pit people against each other.
Gaslighting: They may make you question your perceptions and sanity.
Unforgiving: They may be unforgiving of their employees' needs and well-being.
Unwilling to listen: They may be unwilling to hear any constructive feedback. e.g. the casual way of sitting and uninterested in listening
Blame others: They may blame others for their own mistakes or external circumstances. e.g. needs to be done by this date due to some external to commitments
Take credit: They may take credit for successes or others' work. e.g. oh yeah.. it was me who suggested that
What was the meeting about?
The call was an absolute embarrassment to all CVS associates and a direct reflection of the lack of actual leadership coming from the top! From start to finish, this whole thing was a fcking joke! Let’s drop a surprise “all hands” on my org’s calendar with zero agenda/explanation after multiple similar calls resulted in layoffs the past 2 years! That won’t make them anxious at all! Let’s also leave some teams off the invite by accident, so people question if it means they are safe or sc--wed because they got invited and their colleague didn’t. Now that I have you all stressed out and on this agenda-less call, let me waste 20 mins telling you why this whole “fast track” initiative isn’t a complete crock of sh-t that hasn’t been thought through at all! Let me casually sit back in my chair and dismiss all of the valid points of constructive criticism and wait for some tone-deaf, a-s-kissers from my team to come to my defense!
I hope he enjoyed every second of that sh-t show that he created!
All those H1b people who said they don’t feel pressured to say Yes, were being dishonest with themselves. I’m an H1b manager and yes I’m empowered to say No. But that only works 50% of the time. We can say whatever we want, is it agreed upon is a different question. Those two directors from Rx and FS engineering were just pleasing their bosses.
