Thread regarding SAP layoffs

I'm VERPed!

I've applied to the very last round of VERP in France, and I've been selected.if I apply and if I will stop working April 12 2025, so in 3 weeks. 😲

Then I will be paid by SAP for 15 months of early retirement without working at all: 3 months with 100% salary then 12 months with 80% salary.
After that, July 1st 2026, I will be fully retired and have my pension.

I was not prepared for such an accelerated timeline, and I have mixed feelings for leaving my wonderful colleagues in SAP Build team so quickly. I would have been happy to stay until end of year or at least until Summer, because we will have a lot of great news at Sapphire and TechEd around SAP Build + Joule + Agentic AI in the context of SAP Business Data Cloud, but for legal reasons it had to be April 12.

That said, I wont complain to retire when 62.1 yo instead of 64.9 yo: 33 months earlier than expected. 😊
