@3pss+1jq5FAzt Not true, not even a little bit. You can ask for an ADA accommodation at any point during your tenure at a job. A cursory Google search would have told you this.

ADA protections would only apply if you were hired as remote employee and the disability was factor in the hire. It wouldn't reply to RTO if you were not already in a protected work from home position beforehand.

OP, if you have legitimate health concerns about RTO, you probably do have the right to WFH under Americans With Disabilities Act protections. You don't need a lawyer to request that. However, it's probably not a bad idea to talk to a lawyer about potential "adverse job actions" that might follow. Just my opinion, but I have a feeling that CSG will go right up to the legal limit (and beyond, if they think they can get away with it) when it comes this kind of thing.

In most states (especially Florida), the employee has little, if any, rights. There are hardly any labor laws to protect you...

i posted the original question. The reason for the post is so i am informed on any actions citrix takes. (unlimited pto, rto what if i am sick, severance policy change, etc. ) If i can get a free consult or hear from an expert as opposed some hack who googles.
For those who think we have to take our lickimgs from citrix; you may be right but i want confirmation from an expert. Thanks for the lawyer reference!

Dear super helpful legal genius: I can think of at least one set of circumstances that would give a person the right to continue to work from home, even in a state with next to no worker protections, like Florida. Can you think of any? If not, maybe you aren't quite as smart as you think you are.

The OP did not say or even imply anything about working from home. WTF is your problem, ace?

Here, let's make it simple. If the OP is still paying attention: dear OP, why are you looking for an attorney?

No, it's not suspicious. I am not a TK disciple. I'm a realist. People who keep promoting the idea that one's rights are being violated are lying. You are lying to the person who thinks that an attorney can fix his complaints.

Why do you not understand this concept? You do not have the right to work at home The company decides where everyone works. That is an indisputable fact. Are you denying this?

You don't have the right to work for CSG at all! Unless they are engaged in illegal discrimination, they can fire any employee for any reason or no reason. That is an indisputable fact. Are you denying this as well?

How suspicious , the anti-attorney people come pretty fast when someone is looking for a lawyer.

Why is everybody being such a jerk to this person when they most likely just want someone to look at their severance agreement before they sign?

OP, no, I'm sorry, I can't recommend a good lawyer.

I know people don't like to hear it, but we DO NOT have a "right" to work at home. For example, there have been many times in the past when a company decided to move its headquarters to another state. What would you have done then? "I'm suing, they have no right to make me move to Texas to keep my job!" It doesn't matter if you were hired as a remote employee. This isn't even the company that hired you! "Oh, this company you bought? These employees have a right to dictate to you where they will work." IT'S LAUGHABLE. I like WFH, but I'm not under the delusion that I have any choice other than to work for a different company that embraces it.

"You can't fire me and you can't make me work in a office" is not a valid legal argument. It's just stupid nonsense.

For what purpose? If it's because you don't want to work in an office, you don't have any right to refuse.

I’ll save you the attorney fees. Leave on your own terms or take what they give you if you’re laid off. These multi-billion company has nothing to lose against a lawyer you hire.
