In the last year, my team had four positions eliminated, three of them, including mine, were incredibly near some form of parental leave.
- I was just a few weeks away from going on paternity leave
- A colleague of mine was days from giving birth
- Another colleague of mine had just returned from maternity leave
Everyone should know that Optum does pay out its parental leave in the event that someone is laid off.
I was wondering if there are any other stories of teams where multiple positions were impacted very near some form of parental leave?
